Visa-free entry
UK and all EU/EEA citizens can enter Mexico without a visa for tourism. The FMM tourist permit is granted on arrival.

Same rules as US citizens — valid for up to 180 days, but the actual length is decided by the immigration officer.
Documents required
- Passport valid for the duration of your stay
- Onward or return ticket (often checked at airline check-in)
- Proof of accommodation
- Proof of funds (rarely asked, but be ready)
After Brexit
Brexit didn't change anything for UK travellers visiting Mexico. The visa-free arrangement is bilateral with Mexico, not EU-based.
Working in Mexico
The FMM does NOT permit working for a Mexican employer. For that you need a Temporary Resident Visa with work permission.
