Cancun & Riviera Maya
Cancun & Riviera Maya — famous for all-inclusive resorts, white-sand Caribbean beaches, nightlife, and proximity to Mayan ruins like Chichen Itza, Tulum and Coba. Cancún itself is the gateway airport; the broader Riviera Maya stretches south through Playa del Carmen, Akumal and Tulum, threaded with cenotes and reefs.
The Hotel Zone (Zona Hotelera) stretches 25km along the beach with mega-resorts and nightclubs. Downtown Cancún is a grid of practical shopping streets where locals actually live. Nearby day trips include Playa del Carmen, Tulum ruins, Xel-Há natural park, and cenote swimming.
